Social media giant Meta announces 'End-To-End Encryption' For Facebook Messenger here's the full details

After WhatsApp and Instagram, Meta-owned Facebook officially announced that Messenger would be getting end-to-end encryption for the security and privacy of the users.

End-to-end encryption is a feature that encrypts communication from one device to another, so that only the sender and the intended recipient can read the message.

Facebook has implemented this feature in its Messenger app, which means that messages sent through the app are encrypted and can only be read by the sender and the recipient.

This helps to protect the privacy of users and prevent unwanted parties from intercepting and reading the messages. The feature is optional and can be turned on or off by the user.

In the announcement Meta has mentioned that it has included a set of features including the Chat themes, Group Profile Pictures, Bubbles for Android, and a lot more. Here is the list of features in detail that are added to the platform in the end-to-end encrypted mode.

The company has also announced that the end-to-end encryption is currently under the testing phase and it wants to ensure that the company would protect the user’s confidentiality, security, and safety.
