Introducing Pixel Fold: Google's first foldable phone

In recent years, foldable smartphones have become increasingly popular. Samsung, Huawei, and Motorola have all released foldable phones, but one major player has been missing from the foldable market - Google. That is until now. Rumors of a Google foldable phone have been circulating for some time, and it looks like Google is finally set to release its first foldable phone - the Google Pixel Fold.


So what can we expect from the Google Pixel Fold? Here's everything we know so far:


The Google Pixel Fold is expected to feature an 7.6-inch OLED foldable display with a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels. When the device is folded, it will have a 5.8-inch external display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. It's rumored that the device will have a clamshell design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, which means it will fold vertically.


The Google Pixel Fold is expected to be powered by processor Tensor G2 with 12GB of  LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone also supports 5G connectivity. Pixel Fold includes Android 13, with applications specially designed for it. Google has optimized 50 official applications Google.


The main camera is 48 megapixels paired with a telephoto and wide-angle lens. The battery is 4,821mAh with support for 30W wired fast charging, Qi wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. The phone is available in two colors: Obsidian and Porcelain


Pixel Fold will be available in the United States at a price of $1,799 for the 256 GB storage version and at a price of $1,869 for the 512 GB storage version.


Pixel Fold of Google will initially be available only in USA, Japan, United Kingdom and Germany. Availability in other countries will have to await further official announcements.


The Google Pixel Fold is shaping up to be a promising device, and it's great to see Google finally joining the foldable phone market. With its impressive specs and clamshell design, the device is sure to turn heads when it's finally released. While the price may be a barrier for some, those who are willing to pay for a premium device will likely find the Google Pixel Fold to be a worthy investment.
